Which is better: the
Humminbird Wrist Wireless Smartcast Fishfinder or the HawkEye Portable Fishfinder? Both are basically
the same price.

If you compare the two the Humminbird Smartcast would be a better buy.
75 foot operating range compared to 35 foot cable
allows use of 2 remote sonar sensors
auto shut off on remote sonar sensor
100 foot depth capability
90 degree sonar beam compared to 45 degree (need to purchase side scan adapter)
uses a 2450 cr battery (watch battery)- may come with 1 installed and 1 extra battery
although the Hawkeye can shoot thru ice if you do any icefishing.
