Point and Cast

Owner's Review
"The Bottom Line Fishin' Buddy 2200 is an amazing piece of equipment. It's light weight. Very portable. And it works. The unit has a separate clamp-on bracket that can be attached to the gunwale of any boat, and can even be attached to a dock when you aren't using a boat, or a stand when you are ice fishing.

I have used mine heavily for a full season now, both on a 14' fiberglass fishing boat, and on a 16' canoe. It didn't care where it was it just kept working. It hangs down from the side of the boat showing fish below the boat, along with the depth and contour of the bottom, and the side view feature shows fish up to 60' to the side of the boat.

Among other features it has an alarm, that can be turned on or off, that beeps when it sees a fish. Maybe the best feature is that the unit runs on 3 "c cell" batteries. My unit runs for about 25 hours on one set of batteries. That's pretty cheap power. The only real drawback that I have found with the Fishin' Buddy, is it's constantly finding fish that won't bite.

The upside is you get to hear the little alarm beep, and see the fish swim across the little screen. This is definitely a unit for lakes and ponds, not for deep sea fishing, but for the person who likes to fish that kind of water, and uses different boats, float tubes, or no boat at all, I don't think you could do better."
